Questions & Answers

Q1 I would love to book a boudoir session, but I feel like I am overweight, or worried about my looks...
Answer: Often people worry about the way they look, they may feel that they are overweight, have unwanted marks on their skin, may feel to skinny, etc
The reality is that nobody is perfect, and at Curves Boudoir I believe that every woman should embrace their natural curves. If you are wish, I can even remove marks from your skin in photos with computer Software. If this helps with your confidence.
Q2 Boudoir photography seems a bit like porn to me. I don't mind the idea, but may feel ashamed..
Answer: Boudoir photography is absolutely NOT porn. While boudoir photography can be "racy", and full of sensuality, it is absolutely not porn. Boudoir, is a word from the French language meaning a woman's private salon. Please examine my photography, and honestly then tell me its porn. I don't do full frontal nudity.
My emphasis is on curves, and believe that a boudoir photography session should also feel like you are being pampered. In years to come you can see how gorgeous you were, and hopefully also see how gorgeous you are today, and how you will feel about yourself in the future.
Why as a woman do you go to get your hair done, do your nails, or have someone else do your nails. To feel good about yourself. My boudoir photography is about YOU feeling good about yourself...
Q3 I would like to bring my partner, a friend or my husband along, is this OK?
Answer: Absolutely. Your boudoir photography session is about being pampered and feeling good about yourself. I encourage partners, or relatives to also attend. In fact often I will show them photos from my camera during the session. This said, it is important that they know it is a boudoir session, and are okay with boudoir photos.
Q4 I am under 18, can I do a boudoir session?
Answer: In this case NO........
I absolutely will NOT photograph minors for boudoir photography. Even if you are 17 and 11 months. While boudoir photography is NOT porn, it has an element of sensuality to it, and as such it is not for minors. In fact I might ask, what are you doing here..
If you look like you may be under 18, I may even ask for ID. Kids have plenty of time to grow up and there will time in the future. While I say boudoir photography is for everyone. I mean everyone over 18.
If you are a mum and you have a daughter who is 17 and you think that a boudoir session would help them with their low self esteem, consider it as a future present for their 21st, NOT their 17th.
Q5 It sounds good, but I am I not to old?
Answer: While I encourage people to get photographed when they are younger for good memories of themselves, the truth is, that it is not to late. Nobody is getting younger and while it might be better to get photos when you are younger as memories, it is certainly fine for an older woman to feel gorgeous about yourself. I have photographed women in their 60s.. So be daring and go for it..
